Elevated Voices
Client Project - Event Flyer - 2023/2024
Elevated Voices' goal is to create a space that elevates black art, black voices, and black expression that can also service the whole of the community. Every year they host a Juneteenth celebration and this year they reached out to me to create a flyer and other promotional materials for them. The themes 2023 was the "Wild West", and for 2024 it is "The Cook Out". The flyers needed to highlight Juneteenth and feature afro-centric art.

For the first poster, I really wanted to capture a western feel. I played with the idea in the beginning to draw a landscape with a lone cowboy in the distance. As I began hashing out the details, the design changed to highlight the characters.
